Martha Yoder organized and streamlined the Board of Revision to make a level playing field for all taxpayers:

• The Board of Revision process allows property owners to contest the property values (which are used to calculate property taxes).

• Prior to Auditor Yoder taking office, this process was non-compliant with statute, disorganized, and often unfair. Additionally, there was a backlog of cases some more than 10 years old. 

• The process was streamlined, organized and made compliant with statute, guaranteeing fairness and an even playing field.

• Current cases are now heard in the year they are filed, and almost every backlogged case has been heard.
