Martha Yoder grew up in neighboring Geauga County and is a graduate of Berkshire High School. She has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Government with a concentration in Public Administration from Liberty University. She has lived in Trumbull County since 1989, serving as Farmington Township Trustee and on the Trumbull County Transit Board. Mrs. Yoder is a graduate of the Ohio Township Association Leadership Academy and a member of the Jo Ann Davidson Leadership Institute. From 1994 until just prior to taking office, she owned and operated Yoder Supported Living Services, Inc., a provider of residential services for adults with developmental disabilities.
Since taking office, Auditor Yoder has worked to modernize and organize the office, seeking to go beyond compliance to best practice. Auditor Yoder, statutorily, serves as secretary of the Trumbull County Budget Commission and Board of Revision as well as the administrator of the Data Processing Board. In each of these roles, she has worked to reorganize and make these boards compliant with statute and move towards best practice. Auditor Yoder is also a statutory member of the Financial Planning and Supervision Commission overseeing the Vienna Township Financial Recovery Plan. Mrs. Yoder has gone beyond just being a member of the Commission and taken on the role of serving as its Secretary. In 2023, Auditor Yoder was appointed to the Transportation Improvement District and serves as its Secretary/Treasurer, playing a significant part in obtaining $700,000 in grant money to improve roads in Trumbull County.
Auditor Yoder has made her own continuing education a priority, going above and beyond the statutory requirements. In her time in office, she has taken more than 100 hours in continuing education-earning The Distinguished Auditor Award from the County Auditors Association of Ohio.
Mrs. Yoder is active in several community organizations including the Warren Federation of Women’s Clubs and the Trumbull County Republican Women’s Club, currently serving as Regent for the Mary Chesney Chapter, NSDAR. She is a member of Grace Fellowship Church in Niles, serving in the children’s ministry. Mrs. Yoder also enjoys cycling and participated in Pelotonia, a charity bicycle ride in 2025. A cancer survivor, Mrs. Yoder rode 30 miles and raised more than $1500 for cancer research in memory of her brother and father who both passed away from leukemia.
