County Cybersecurity Strengthened

  • Information Technology for the County Government including the County’s Cybersecurity Program is under the management of Auditor Yoder.


  • Under Auditor Yoder’s leadership, the IT Team prevented a large loss of County data (including residents’ personal data) by prompt action when a third party vendor was compromised.


  • That obstructed threat provided an opportunity to assess and improved defenses.  These improvements were begun promptly by Auditor Yoder’s team.


  • Auditor Yoder’s team created and began the implementation of a comprehensive Countywide Cybersecurity Program which includes investment in proactive cybersecurity measures to stay ahead of  evolving cyber risks and prevent costly service shutdowns and data loss.


  • Auditor Yoder’s Cybersecurity Program includes job specific cybersecurity training for every county employee in addition to ongoing training for county employees to prevent phishing attacks and human-error breaches.
